Frosh-Soph Football

Central Valley 21, Hughson 0

The Frosh-Soph Hawks continued their hot start to the season with a dominating 21-0 win over a solid Hughson team.  The Frosh Hawks have now outscored their opponents by a combined score of 51-7 in their first 2 contests.  CV goes into the bye week at 2-0 and will look to keep things moving in the right direction when they host the Modesto High Panthers on Thursday, Sept. 12th at Ceres High 6:00pm.

 

Girls Tennis

El Capitan 8, Central Valley 1

The Lady Hawks traveled to Merced yesterday and ran into a very tough El Capitan squad.  The Gauchos defeated the Hawks 8-1 in this pre-season matchup.  The lone CV win came from Liz Cazarez (#5 singles).  CV will begin WAC play next week when they travel to Grace Davis to take on the Spartans on Tuesday.

 

Girls Flag Football

Varsity: El Capitan 56, Central Valley 20

JV: Central Valley 15, El Capitan 14

The Varsity Hawks traveled to El Capitan last night and fell to the Gauchos by the score of 56-20.  The JV Hawks were able to come away with the narrow 15-14 win.  It will be a busy week coming up for the Hawks as they will continue their non-league schedule with games at Hughson on Tuesday and Mariposa on Wednesday.  WAC play begins the week of September 9th with the Hawks opening up with games vs. Grace Davis at Johansen.
