Girls Tennis

Central Valley 6, Beyer 3

The Lady Hawks girls tennis team continued their hot start to WAC play.  CV went on the road and defeated Beyer 6-3.  CV wins came from 3 singles Jas Kaur, 5 singles Harkiran Sandhu, 6 singles Valerie Espinoza, 1 doubles Valeria Sanchez Luna/Melanie Chavez , 2 doubles Genesis Velazquez Pedraza/Roxana Orozco, 3 doubles Agam Sandhu/Selena CubilloThe Hawks are now 3-0 overall and 2-0 in the WAC.  CV will be back in action on Wednesday when they host the Livingston Wolves at 3:30pm. 

 

Girls Flag Football

Varsity: Central Valley 36, Grace Davis 6

JV: Central Valley 32, Grace Davis 0

After a challenging pre-season schedule and several narrow defeats, the Hawks showed up best when it mattered most with a dominating WAC league opening win against Grace Davis by the score of 36-6.  The Hawks are now 2-6 overall, but 5 of those losses came by 5 points or less.  CV has been improving and competing in most games they have played.  Last night’s win gets their league season off to a solid start.  The JV Hawks also came away with a solid win.  The flag football team will be back in action this Wednesday night at CV when they host the Pacheco Panthers: JV 5:00pm/VAR 6:00pm. 

 

Girls Volleyball

Varsity; Grace Davis 3, Central Valley 1 (26-28, 25-16, 19-25, 15-25)

JV: Grace Davis 2, Central Valley 0 (27-29, 14-25)

Frosh-Soph: Central Valley 2, Grace Davis 1 (23-25, 25-7, 15-13)

The Hawks girls volleyball team dropped their league opener to the Grace Davis Spartans 3-1 in an evenly contested match.  CV held their own, but would go down in 4 sets.  The Hawks have been improving each week and look to compete in the WAC this season.  The JV Hawks also fell, but the Frosh-Soph Hawks were able to pull off a thrilling victory.  CV will look to get in the win column in WAC play when they travel to Pacheco on Wednesday night to take on the Panthers: F/S 4:30pm/JV 5:30pm/VAR 6:30pm.
