Girls Tennis

Central Valley defeats Johansen 7-2

The Lady Hawks kept their WAC win streak alive with a solid 7-2 win over the Johansen Vikings.  CV is now 5-1 overall and 4-0 in the WAC (1st place).  CV wins came from 1 singles Aleena Higle 3 singles Aaliyah Jauregui, 5 singles Liz Cazarez, 6 singles Harkiran Sandhu, 1 doubles Valerie Espinoza/Valeria Sanchez Luna, 2 doubles Melanie Chavez/Ilyana Vidal, 3 doubles Roxana Orozco, Genesis Velazquez PedrazaThe Hawks will look to keep things going today when they travel to Lathrop High to take on the Spartans.

 

Football

Varsity: Modesto 42, Central Valley 18

JV: Central Valley 20, Modesto 20

Frosh-Soph: Central Valley 65, Modesto 0

The Hawks struggled to get things going on Friday night and a combination of 5 turnovers and a dozen penalties led to a rough night.  Modesto took advantage and defeated the Hawks by the score of 42-18.  The Hawks (1-2) will look to bounce back this Friday night when they begin WAC play by hosting the Grace Davis Spartans at Ceres High.  The JV Hawks (2-0-1) played to a tie with the Panthers while the Frosh-Soph team (3-0) continued their dominant start to the season with a blowout win. 

 

Girls Flag Football

Varsity: Central Valley 34, Beyer 0

JV: Central Valley 42, Beyer 6

The Flag Football team has put their inconsistent pre-season behind them and picked up their 2nd WAC win on Monday night.  The Hawks handled the Beyer Patriots by the score of 34-0 to move to 2-1 in WAC play.  The JV Hawks (3-0) also picked up to solid win.  The Flag Football program will be back in action tonight when they host the undefeated Livingston Wolves (13-0 overall) at 5:00pm/6:00pm.

 

Girls Volleyball

Varsity: Beyer defeats Central Valley 3-0 (12-25, 18-25, 15-25)

JV: Beyer defeats Central Valley 2-1 (26-24, 11-25, 15-17)

Frosh-Soph: Beyer defeats Central Valley 2-0 (25-27, 23-25)

The Girls Volleyball team fell to Beyer on Monday night to drop their WAC record to 0-3.  CV will look to get in the win column tonight when they travel to Livingston to take on the Wolves. 

 

Girls/Boys Water Polo

Varsity Girls: Beyer defeats Central Valley

Varsity Boys: Beyer defeats Central Valley

The Water Polo teams continue to gain experience and develop as they have started league play.  The Hawks fell to the Beyer Patriots, but will look to get back on track today when they host the Livingston Wolves 4:00pm/5:00pm.
