The Hawks were ready for their first WAC dual of the season as they dominated the Pacheco Panthers in a program-wide, clean sweep! The result was never in doubt as the aggressive CV pre-season schedule had the Hawks prepared. The JV boys started the night by almost pulling off the shoutout and both the Varsity Girls and Boys took full control in their matches. The Hawks are now 1-0 in WAC duals and will continue their busy week with a non-league tune-up tonight against a solid El Capitan program and then a big WAC matchup on Thursday night at CV against a strong Beyer team.
Girls Soccer
Varsity: Central Valley 4, Patterson 1
The Lady Hawks were able to compete at full strength for the first time this season and the results did not disappoint. CV had 6 of their starters complete the club soccer season over the weekend so they are now able to compete on the active high school roster. The reinforcements were a big part of CV’s impressive 4-1 win at Patterson. The Hawks are now 2-2-1 overall as they will now face a couple of pre-season tests when they travel to Pitman on Friday and Turlock High on Monday. This will be followed by WAC play kicking off on Dec. 16th against Grace Davis and Dec. 18th against Pacheco. The Lady Hawks look to defend their WAC title from last season and we are in store for another exciting season.
