Boys Wrestling

Varsity: Central Valley 41, El Capitan 28

JV: Central Valley 51, El Capitan 24

The CV boys wrestling program continued their scorching hot start to the season with another impressive dual win last night.  The Hawks made the trip to El Capitan in Merced to take on the Gauchos on what was billed to be a well-balanced matchup.  Both programs are off to great starts this season, but it was the visiting Hawks that came out with the impressive 41-28 win.  This win pushed the CV boys varsity dual record to 8-0 overall, 1-0 in WAC play.  The JV Hawks also picked up a solid win and move to 7-1 overall, 1-0 in WAC play.  There isn’t any rest for the Hawks as CV will host the Beyer Patriots tonight in a crucial WAC matchup.  Both varsity programs won their first WAC dual in dominant fashion so this battle promises to be a tight one.  Good luck tonight at the Hawks look to keep their hot streak alive.
